Getting Started with Platero

Platero helps your kitchen turn menus and guest counts into accurate, supplier-ready order lists. Here's how the pieces fit together.

The Platero Workflow

Platero connects your menus, recipes, and supplier costs so your kitchen can plan events and generate order lists without manual work.

Most kitchens follow the same basic flow:

  1. Add your menus and recipes to Platero.
  2. Import supplier invoices to build your product and cost database.
  3. Create an event and assign a menu to it.
  4. Generate an order list and review your costs.

Build Your Foundation

Before planning your first event, it helps to have your core information in Platero:

  • Menus: upload your catering menus so their items are ready to assign to events.
  • Recipes: connect ingredients, costs, and production details to your menu items.
  • Invoices: import supplier invoices so Platero has accurate product pricing.

Run an Event

Once your menus, recipes, and products are in place, you can create an event, assign a menu to it, and generate a supplier-ready order list.

As you complete events, Platero's Costing & Insights tools help you compare expected and actual food costs so you can improve profitability over time.
